PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Shekel (Silver, 26 mm, 13.76 g, 12 h), CY 104 = 23/2 BC. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck; below his ear, small banker's mark in the form of a star. Rev. TYPOY IEPAΣ KAI AΣYΛOY Eagle standing left on prow with palm frond behind; in field to left, ΡΔ above club; in field to right, BN. RPC I 4637. The obverse struck from a worn die and with a banker's mark, otherwise, very fine.
